SAFETY PROFILE：

Poison by intraperitoneal and intravenous routes. Moderately toxic by ingestion, subcutaneous and parenteral routes. Used in preservation of cosmetics. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of Na₂O, NO_x, and SO_x. See also MERCAPTANS.
