SAFETY PROFILE：

Moderately toxic by intravenous route. Human systemic effects by ingestion: cyanosis. Large doses internally have a cathartic action. Violent reaction with NaNO₂. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of SO_x and Na₂O. See also THIOSULFATES and SODIUM MONOXIDE.
