SAFETY PROFILE:
Poison by ingestion and intraperitoneal routes. Moderately toxic by skin contact and inhalation. A human eye irritant and severe experimental eye and skin irritant. An unstable compound. When 2-Nitro-2-butene (CAS NO.4812-23-1) is heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NOx. See also NITRO COMPOUNDS.
